In this blog , I would like to share a method on how to add a sitemap in google's blog. Most of people just ignore uploading their sitemaps in their websites and blogs but uploading a sitemaps do have plus points like :
* helps search engine better index your blogs
* your website will be discovered fast
* monitoring sitemaps reports helps in resolving errors
* using traffic search & keyword info u can improve ur content and attract more traffic
* webpages are more categorized & prioritized
* pages with more important content are crawled faster
* easier navigation & better visibility of webpages
Simply follow these easier steps :
Step 1 : Open your browser and in search bar type " http://ctrlq.org/blogger/ " . This is an online xml site map generator for blogger websites . After that go to your blog & paste the url of your blog and click on generate sitemap.
Step 2 : Now copy that xml code and goto your blog setting >> search preference >> custom robot.txt and enable it and copy the xml file and then save the changes .
Step 3 : Now go to google webmaster and verify your website / blog Or if you have not verified yet you can goto my previous blog to verify your website , the link is given below
Step 4 : Now goto your google webmaster account and click on your website >> then sitemaps and click to add a sitemap .
Step 5 : now the xml code that u have pasted in step 3 is used again but here u only need the code after ur blogspot.in /_________ . copy all the code after / & paste it in Add a sitemap bar & refresh the page.
for eg if the code is

Disallow: /search
Allow: /
Sitemap: http://bestinsidecode.blogspot.in/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
you only need to copy this in add sitemap bar(along with starting slash) :
/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
